Even though Carrefour is not an official member of Card, They honor card with a 5% discount. Same as for courtesy card holders. The supervisor behind the checkout lanes has to use her card to apply discount. I checked with customer service first. Our first big shopping yesterday came to about $180. $8 discount. This will add up over 5 weeks. In addition to other discounts. discount includes alcohol.

Wouldn't 5% of $180 be $9.00?

You can also get the 5% for showing your room key from some resorts. I know we show our Oyster Bay Beach Resort room key and get the discount.

Contact Angie St.Martin on FB. We met her one day at Bruno's LaPlaya. She's based in Oyster pond. https://www.facebook.com/Angiesxm
BTW the MOTC card is excepted in over 200 businesses Side to side!. Angie complied an Excel listing for anyone that wants to print it out!! And yes , over the weeks we were on the island, it saved us quite a bit of money!!

Carrefour has an ad in the Destinations magazine which says if you take a photo with your phone and show it at checkout, they will take 5% off your total bill if you spend $25 or more. No card needed. And the girl at the checkout didn't even want to see the photo of the ad.

But then it's a one time use. Having the photo you could use it multiple times.

When you pick up the card does it come with that list of participants or do you have to print it your self?

So I presume you have to print it yourself or have a means of looking it up online on island.

I honestly don't know if they took the coupon from us or not. We only made one big run to Carrefour anyway, as we do most of our shopping at Super U.

Most of the businesses will display a replica of the card sticker on their entrance door. We used it this past trip as well, 10% was the normal discount but 15% at Sale an Pepe. Printing out the list is also an option but it is a long list. We didn't specifically look for places that took it but it was a nice bonus when they did.

And we have. We've only been on the island for just over three days and we used it twice.'
