Our flight from Zurich (KLM) to Amsterdam arrives 1:35 pm and our flight Amsterdam to Boston (Delta) departs at 2:45 pm. Is that enough time? Will we have to go through immigration, customs etc or just from one gate to another?

Very big airport Schipol! Check which terminal KLM and Delta use to see how far between them. If you are on one booking you should be alright as they'll look after you.

If you are on one through ticket, code share, etc., you should be OK
You should be on the secure side, no customs, immigration, baggage issues. You are just connecting in an international airport.

All bets are off if these are separate tickets. Then none of this applies and you will miss the connection.
