Thinking about going back to a mono (Moorings 52’) next trip but the last few have been on cats. My only concern is drawing 6’4 in the channel to Anegada. We’d arrive early and take an outside ball if we could make it there.

Any thoughts?

6’4” is fine to enter Anegada but only take the outside moorings and don’t sail around to Neptune’s Treasure where there are some shallow areas and the bottom is soft sand on top and a hard coral bottom and if a squall comes in you’ll drag

Kim and Ward went in on Reed Song many times and they drew more than that — always anchored on the outskirts.

We brought a 41 mono on with a 6’7 draft a few years back - took an outer ball and kissed the sand the next morning but got off okay - that said? I would anchor.....
