You will probably have trouble booking a Sunsail boat out of St. Vincent - the base isn't really closed - but very much downsized... I don't think they are officially offering any starts from that location at this time. It is a bit of a haul to reach the Grenadines from St. Lucia, but not bad from Grenada. Sunsail / Moorings are alive and well in Grenada. Horizon also operates out of Grenada. If you would like some help booking something out of Grenada and the Grenadines - check out www.LTDsailing.com. They offer a bareboat brokerage service and can probably help you save some money on the charter. I am based in Grenada and sail the Grenadines quite often - Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

If you have not experience it a one way down wind is my favorite way to do the Grenadines. Horizon will deliver a boat up to Blue Lagoon St Vincent or Moorings from St Lucia to Grenada. This way you can check out the Pitons. See some good info : http://www.viyachts.com/windward.phpTom
