Hello All,

I haven't been to St Martin, since the Irma. A friend from work is going there on a cruise, in a couple of days. I was telling him about how good Sarafina's was. He and his family would like to stop by there. Can anybody tell me whether they are currently open for business? I understand that they may have moved from their old location, to Marina Port La Royale. I would greatly appreciate it, if someone could let me know if they are open for business and if they moved?

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.

I checked online and all I could find is that this place is now 'permanently closed'. But, next to restaurants the one thing that St. Martin has plenty of is bakeries so I'm certain they'll be able to find one when they make port. If there cruise is making port in Philipsburg I would recommend La Sucriere in the Simpson Bay area. Way closer than traveling all the way to Marigot to find a bakery, and with decent pricing.

I thought I saw a sign for them a few doors up from Be Kool restaurant in December. Very small place as opposed to their last one and didn’t really see many people there but didn’t go out of my way to properly look.

They are now located next to Be Kool in the Marina Royal in Marigot. Unfortunately, the business is much smaller and lacks the "wow factor" of the original with the huge display of pastries, sandwiches, breads, and other baked goods.

Try La Sucrerie in Simpson Bay on the lagoon. Take away or eat in on deck overlooking boats in the lagoon. French croissants, pastries, cakes, breads, sandwiches etc. We always alternated between Sarafiona's and LaSucrierie and preferred the later. The place in the Marina next to Be Cool restaurant is too small to do much other than take away. No ambience.

Forgot to add it's located across from the movie theatre, lagoon side From airport it's after bridge about quarter mile on left. I think near Izi's restaurant area. Small bakery entrance on left on right a window to watch the bread being made. Not much parking there.

Thank you everyone, that took a minute to let me know that Sarafina's open for business. All be it, a lot smaller than we were used to. And for confirming that it is in fact Marina Port La Royale. Not sure that my friend will have the time to swing past Simpson's Bay. He will have his family, with a couple of young children. I think a quick ride to Marigot, for Sarafina's and buy a few Cuban cigars at La Casa Del Habano, at the Marina, as well. Then back to the beach in Philipsburg.

Thanks again for all your help.
