OK, I have to admit that we have been back for about 4 days and that I couldn't bring myself to post anything yet because I'm still mourning the loss!

Turning in the Beneteau 473 was probably one of the hardest thing we've had to do!

Well, I have about 800 pictures on my digital camera, and 300 wedding pics, and a ton to talk about. I'll get a trip report together eventually and post the photos but for now I just wanted to say hello to everyone and that it was awesome. I do have a couple of highlights and do's and dont's for anyone leaving soon:

Definately definately go to Anegada if you are allowed! eat Lobster! go to one of the beaches!!

definately DO NOT walk around Sandy Cay's nature trail in your bare feet!

do snorkle the Caves, the Indians and the Baths (and go throught the Devil's Trail)

Do get married there if you are engaged!!!!

Do get bug spray that deters "sand fleas" or I think they were no-see-ums, but any way, we all got bit up and OFF wasn't doing the trick.

Do definately charter thru TMM, they were outstanding!

Do have Jim Scheiner do your wedding pics because they are absolutely beautiful.

Do take everyone on this site's advice and bring weird things like ziploc bags (later dubbed "the carribean wallet" or purse depending on the size of the ziploc), and hydrocortisone and antibiotic creams.

Do sail naked! unless this would be offensive to others on the boat!

Do not anchor by accident too late in the day at the Baths and have to spend the night there

Do lay out on the deck at night looking at the stars and talking about what you can sell back home so that you can move down there as quickly as possible!

Do not invite 12 friends and family to spend the day sailing on your boat and expect them to stick around after to clean!

Do sail, sail, sail! We loved the boat and the waters. During our time we sailed in and around Tortola so many times that our chart that we drew on looked like a litlle kid scribbled on it. We actually added it up and came out to about 400 NM for the whole trip! We had a blast!

Thanks again to everyone and good luck to those who will be travelling soon!

oh, and I almost forgot, if you can...spend the last two days after your charter in San Juan. It was fun and interesting and was like another mini vacation. It made the transition from the BVI to home easier, not going home Cold Turkey!!
