Making our first trip to Curacao in late November. Staying in a Villa in Westpunt renting a car. Looking for any helpful insight. We are snorkelers and love exploring but not hiking.

It will be a long drive from Westpunt to the town, but I definitely recommend that you spend at least a day in Willemstad (Otrapunda section). THe town is very interesting.

You will enjoy Curacao. Best snorkeling in the area you are staying, Santa Pretu, Lagun, Playa Kalki, Cas Abou (enterence fee),Grote Knip. Great visability, tons of sea life. Dining in your area is Landhuis Misje (not to be missed, one of the best), Sol Food, open only on weekends, also not to be missed, owned by New Englanders, Jaanchies, touristy but amazing local food and between Westpunt and Willemstadt is Karacter Beach Bar in Coral Bay. All mentioned is in close proximity to where you are staying but explore the whole island there is so much to see. Many good dining options in town but as the above poster stated it's quite a long drive, especially at night. For much more info, go to the Curacao forum on Tripadvisor. Not much here on TTOL. Have a great trip! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cheers.gif" alt="" />
