Thanks for that link, which I had not heard that story before. But I do wonder whether the person was really infected in SXM, or whether he had it before he went. But based on the date of that story, which is just a few days ago, that person possibly was someone who decided to stay after the airport was locked down? I wonder whether we will hear more of the details of the story. I hope he will be OK.

This may have little to do with SXM.

There can't have been very many medical evacuations from SXM to Miami. One of the cases listed in St Martin is noted to have been repatriated to his home country. On Saturday 3/28, in the Government of Sint Maarten's "Social Media News Brief" on Facebook, the Prime Minister spoke of an American who arrived in St Martin by boat, and who had tested positive. He had been traveling "all along the Caribbean in the past weeks". He was flown out of SXM on a medevac flight. My recollection is that in either the ARS bulletins, or in a FB post by the Prefecture, he was referred to as being in his 60's.

This was actually in the Daily Herald the other day and I thought it had been posted but perhaps not.

NY has over 1500 dead and refrigerator trucks are sent to hold the bodies.
I am glad I cancelled my SXM trip for March but NY is not a good place right now.
I am not in NY and will not be back to NY for awhile.
