Watching Quito's happy hours is making my case of DIF really bad....... Thinking need a sailing vacation first week of July.... hoping against hope we are able to roam about by then....

There are a lot of fingers crossed to salvage some of this season. A lot of the spring charters were rescheduled to summer so boat owners and sailors are hoping that happens. We're waiting to see travel options and Tortuga's schedule and if there is an opening we're all about taking a last minute trip this summer.

I think a lot of it depends on the US - if they relax the social distancing too soon and don't stay closed until the end of May the rate of infection will stay high and that will eliminate going to the Caribbean as the islands will need to stay shut as they simply don't and won't have the capacity to maintain an active medical response. Ideally by then the only people with it should be in US hospitals and not in the general public.
