SUNDAY Day 6

We all enjoyed a nice breeze during dinner last evening and didn't feel the need to run the generator a/c. Sometime in the wee early morning I did start feeling warm so I grabbed my sheet and pillow and snuck back up to the trampolines. I think it was maybe 0500? but whatever time it was the sky over Potters was already a nice shade of Carolina blue. With a soothing cool constant breeze on my face I was able to quickly fall back to sleep. I was looking forward to watching the sunrise here and nothing was going to keep me from enjoying this! After a short snooze I opened my eyes and...DANG IT! The sun was well above the island. As I focused my eyes I discovered my daughter sitting on the port bow looking back at me, she held up the camera and in a soft whisper she said "I got it!" <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />



She also captured me sleeping through what must have been a near spiritual moment for her...at least a very cool couple of minutes for her!



She turned over the Canon to me and nestled comfortably into the vacant trampoline.



Sorry Kim I have good news and bad news for you....over dinner the girls let it be known that they really were enjoying sailing in the open waters so we will have to save LobLolly and the Settlement for another trip, good news is that guarantees another trip to Anegada <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />
Everyone was up early and we had a hearty breakfast of waffles and bacon. I confirmed with everyone that they still wanted leave this wonderful spot and they did. Until next time Anegada!



Under clear blue skies and with an energized swell the girls took turns again sailing us to who knows where? The moderate swells were more fun than anything especially on the trampolines, but when one specific girl wanted something she would crawl all the way back on her hands and knees holding the lifeline and giggling, sorry no photo's! That was actually a wise technique on her part, safety first!



We discussed our options as far as where to bed down tonight, first being Biras Creek which is a favorite of ours or maybe Saba Rock? then Jim said he can get a decent captains deal at the Bitter End Yacht Club? Sounds good to us we've never been on their property, another first for us! After a couple hours of sailing we passed close to Necker to see the amazing progress on the rebuild. We were happy to be in North Sound again, it really has a lot to offer and is worthy of a couple of nights or more! Jim hailed the BEYC and secured a slip. He once again made docking look so easy, slow and steady.



Again we've only seen this resort from the water, but wow what a beautiful resort. If we were to do a resort style land trip in the BVI this may be the place. After checking in and replenishing ice etc. we headed for the pool. This place has the most unbelievable landscaping and numerous cool little getaway spots.



A short walk from the marina we found the pool area empty and we had our pick of relaxing loungers. Something caught the girls eyes and off they went. It's a swimming platform, cool.



Did I mention that these track and field teammates love to jump and jump often <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />



After getting their jump fix the ladies rejoined us old farts poolside. They of course love being spoiled so when the waiter/bartender approached them on their loungers suggesting they try a non-alcoholic chocolate milkshake they were in heaven. Not your typical shake, had creative chocolate swirls running around the glass and they said they were very tasty! We would have the place to ourselves until a scuba lesson began, I really need to do that!



My wife and I decided to take a stroll and explore this beautiful resort. We walked in the direction of Biras Creek and found 2 cool decks, one is called the Yoga Deck and this photo is of the Wedding Deck. Anybody out there looking for a destination wedding resort? hmmmm

After some serious relaxation at the pool all of us walked the resort. The ladies liked the shops here and everyone now has something with the BEYC logo on it. Their provisioning store is very well stocked also and I recommend the fresh banana bread!

The girls wanted to try the Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). Ok that sounds like fun. If you've ever been on one it's not that difficult right? Woohooo this was fun to watch, get the camera! First mistake there were 2 girls per board, second mistake they jumped on the boards with basically no instruction and third, which was out of their control, was the strong current between Saba Rock and BEYC! A crazy thing happened along the way though, we had some friends from home sailing but they were 2 days behind our schedule, but as soon as the girls started paddling into the mooring field guess who they almost literally ran into....yep their school friend and her family, cool.

Captain Jim always airing on the side of caution had run, well....maybe walked, back to get the dinghy incase the girls needed some assistance, they didn't. He picked me up on a dock in front of the BEYC lobby and we went out to my friends boat to say hello. They eventually came ashore and joined us for pizza and drinks. What are the chances, they were only stopping at Saba to have a mechanic look at their boat!

After a late lunch our friends were wanting to grab a ball in Biras Creek and we wanted to watch the tarpon feeding at Saba Rock so we said our goodbyes. The girls had freshened up a little, but that was really not necessary once we hit the chop heading to Saba, we all were dripping of salt water <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> But we made it in time to see the show!

We grabbed our drinks and went searching for the Toucan's, but as I mentioned in an earlier post they have moved on to a quieter environment where they are healthy, you can read about them here www.adventuresintoucanland.com We kept walking and discovered that they have added some premier seating to watch the kite boarders and other water sport activity. We could have spent hours in this comfy spot.

Before the sunset we dinged back to Blue Moon to get ready for dinner and a sunset. The showers at the dock are very nice and I must confess I did not conserve water, sorry bout that <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Blush.gif" alt="" /> My wife cooked dinner this evening and made a superb batch of burrito's, yum! Still not sure how I lost 7lbs on this trip <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> The sunset was outstanding!

After dinner we heard there was a movie playing at the outdoor theater, cool. One of the girls is a Harry Potter fan so we lucked out with the movie selection. Everyone was exhausted from a very active day so we didn't sit through the entire movie. Back to the Blue Moon for a really good nights sleep!
