Day 3 we woke up at Soper's Hole. Seems any time we stay there, we always get some rain - this time was no different as the boat got washed off over night.

We were too late the night before to do anything we had planned on, so we headed in around 8am to get our dive tanks filled and groceries. Took 2 trips to get the tanks in and then another for the shoppers. I hung back on the boat after helping get the tanks in and enjoyed people watching Almost saw one mishap too as a boat was taking off with their jib up and came far too close to a moored boat. They had to back off to keep from hitting it. Also looked like they were giving the person who was trying to collect the mooring fee a hard time.

After tanks were filled, we headed out to Jost Van Dyke. Since it was a pretty short trip we just motored. Got there and did some swimming before heading in for a drink and the bubbling pool. The pool wasn't doing much bubbling and the water was lower than I've ever seen it. We still enjoyed it and where there for a little while. We then headed back to the boat, started making lunch and got under way just as lunch was ready. We sailed from JVD to Marina Cay. The sailing was awesome! The bow would come up 8-10 feet off the water and then crash down with the crossbar just about hitting the water (sometimes it did). Waves would splash up and soak everyone down there - it was great to watch and fun to be down there as well!

Finally as we approached Monkey point we lowered the sails and headed in to Marina Cay. Grabbed a ball - something screwed with my depth finder as hit 0 at one point, then jumped all over. Fortunately we had 13' or so between the keel and the bottom.

Part of the group when in to make use of the drinking man's guide. Wife and I stayed aboard and relaxed as we've been there done that and will be doing this again in a week with my parents. Cooked up some Mahi Mahi for dinner on the boat and relaxed. I think this was the night we ended up watching part of Die Harder, but I was too tired to watch much - we do have a 46" screen, so we figured we might as well make use of it

Next day we were having Dive BVI meet us. The met us as planned and we headed to Cooper to dive Wreck Alley. My wife and I are getting our advanced certification and the other 3 were just diving so we were split in two groups. Dive was great as always and we then headed to vanishing rock. That dive was great too - lots of stuff going on there - saw a moray eel and tons of sgt Majors!

It was after the dive though that the adventure began. Boat wouldn't start - battery was dead. Even the booster they have didn't help. Cooper sent out their pretty decent sized RIB to try to jump but that didn't work either - unfortunately just as they came out, it started to downpour. They got soaked. They headed back in for the bigger boat to tow us in. Things dried up until of course they came back out and it started to pour again. Finally they got us towed in and by now it was getting close to 2 and we were hungry, so we went in and ordered food and we all sat and had lunch before heading back to the boat (which was fine after being charged from a shore power charger) and back to our boat at Marina Cay. I think we got back between 3/3:30 or so. A bit longer than we had planned, but it ended up being a fun time. Lance and Sarah were great and we had fun chatting with them!

Now we were running a bit late, so we got everyhing stowed and headed to Leverick for the night. Motored to save time and got in around 5:30 and just docked at the end of the T. A little tricky with the windage on this boat and the wind pushing us off the dock, especially with no dock hands, but we got help from someone walking by and ended up getting tied up. Went in for some Bushwhackers, pizza and wings! Had a blast and were entertained by one of our crew members Headed back to the boat where we ended up watching the Pilot for the Americans before going to bed. Looks like a good show.

Ended up having to move this morning, but had a much easier time - I think I'm really started to get the feel for this boat now. Working from the boat today (that's why were able to be here for 18 days) while the rest of the crew explores Virgin Gorda.

Today is a gorgeous day, unlike yesterday which was mostly clouds and rain after starting off ok.

Have lots of pics and videos I'll share later
