This morning I received a PHONE CALL from AA about a June reservation I have to Panama. I had checked the reservation recently, and it had been changed. On one leg, they had me departing before I arrived! My Panama trip has been rescheduled to April 2021, but AA doesn't yet have their schedule open for the return part of the trip. The agent was calling to see if I was aware of the change and wanted to cancel or reschedule. I explained that I was just waiting for their calendar to open up for the return portion and I would then reschedule. I thanked her for her call. I was amazed - great customer service!

I’m not at all surprised as I’ve also had that kind of customer service from AA. Not always, for sure, but enough times that I have a hard time being negative where they’re concerned. Glad you were able to reschedule your cruise.

Respectfully,

pat

I have always had more positive service from AA than negative.

We as well, have had mostly very good customer service from American for decades. Can't wait to start flying them again when things settle down.

That's great. I hope the same from Delta but not really off to a great start. My BOS to AMS flight in July just disappeared from "My Trips" and the flight schedule. No email...just my routine check. Didn't really expect to fly but it's now a done deal.

Not able to contact them by phone "If your flight is for over a week from now call back later" and then disconnected....what if it WAS within a week? Anyway, sent email request for refund and let's see what happens. Always liked Delta but this will be a test.....

While I have not had a reason to call Delta recently, I found in the not so distant past calling around 7:00am worked well for getting an agent. I was never cut off and requested a call back (2 hours or so) a couple of times and it was done in a timely fashion. Perhaps things have changed but the 7:00am time worked great for me.
