Larry & Cleta leave tomorrow. Making our reluctant farewells on the beach today brought home how little time we have left here ourselves-- three beach days left until we too have to pull on clothes and get on a plane home - actually 3 planes in our case. But that's still to come and in the meantime there is still a beach to be hit, bobs to be bobbed, snoozes to be snoozed and, of course, breezes to be shot.

Today started with a lot of rain, continued with lots of sunshine, next to no breeze and wound down into afternoon marked by a very big fire somewhere between here and Hope Estates - lots of black smoke and leaping flames but too far away to work out exactly where it was. At first, we wondered if it was the Cadisco station but there would have been explosions had that been the case. As it turns out if was a wooden building behind Leader Price. That was the sole piece of excitement in a day that saw us bobbing and swimming etc, as normal. For lunch, we walked down to Le String to see Luc & Jean Claude, still cut up about their friend, of course, and we shared some drinks and a platter of acra. The beach was very busy with cruisers in for the day and JC had his appointment book full for his massage treatments, so they were very happy about that.

Then after more bobbing and reading and the rest it was time to say "see you next year" to Larry & Cleta and drive back uphill. The Devine Chloe and the irrepressible Thierry shared a meal with us. Then our fellow guests arrived back from their day out. And so a pretty laid back day just rather petered out as I start to consider the return and think about the real return next year.
