GREAT IDEA. Should never have allowed it to start with, and I enjoy beer but not in a confined place.

My response was going to be that travel became even MORE uncomfortable, if that is possible.

Very disappointed. Made the trip somewhat more tolerable.

Considering the prices charged, I would expect even higher fares and added or increased fees of other types to compensate for this revenue loss.

I guess that depends on how demand develops...there are a LOT of people out there who have ZERO desire to sit masked in a confined space for hours....we will see

They don’t want to give you any reason to remove your mask.

I agree, if not before. Once we have a reliable treatment, and/or a vaccine, there will be much less hysteria.

There is no law against it when passing through TSA, but serving yourself on a commercial flight is illegal.

I prefer the Isle seat

I have always taken those mini bottles on board but don't drink them on board. It's OK to have in carry on as long as they all fit in your zip bag..

We have friends that go with us . And they always bring mini bottles . They have never had a problem . Don't know if they are just lucky or the airline just doesn't care .
But what is this world coming to !!!! No smoking on a flight ..... Now no drinking !!!! ( Before someone takes my head off .... The no smoking was a joke .. LOL )

If your motto is ; If at first you don't succeed......
Maybe it would be best not to try sky diving !

Currently, I think it is just a small bottle of water and that is it.

What makes no sense is that, what airline uses cash anymore??? If you want a beverage or a movie whatever it gets swiped by your card at your seat!! You would think with airline travel being down, that they would want to make as much money as they could!!! We're not big drinkers on the plane, but it's nice to have true Bloody Mary for the flight down!

It's the one on one contact that they are trying to curtail.

From my step daughter, a FA, their credit card machines are not online during the flight. The transactions get uploaded and verified only when the plane is on the ground.

After every Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF.

I have no idea whether that is correct or not, but let's say your card gets declined? How do they collect after you get off the plane? And don't most airlines offer internet while onboard now?

Doesn't the internet quit once you leave the continental US?

1. It is correct. On most of her airline's planes there is no connection between the devices and any network at 30000 ft. The receipt has no authorization #.
2. Do not assume that Internet access is universal. My son teaches high school grades 8 & 9 in a Montreal middle class area and 15% of his students have no web at home. I know from working with the NY City Dept of Education that over 100K of their students live in woman's or homeless shelters therefore they get 66% of their daily meals and 100% of their web access at their schools.
Her airline has wifi access but is it limited to select North American, Caribbean and International flights. Select International flights have faster wifi that would allow streaming.
3. She thinks that the airline may eat the denied charge but there may be some back room, land based group pumping out dunning letters to chase you and your wallet down.

CDN--I don't have any personal knowledge of what airlines do as far as the charge, but your #2 says that a lot of flights do have wifi onboard? Not sure what the stuff about universal internet access has to do with the topic at hand..
