Here is a quick post of my recent trip. Anyone may email for any specific details!
Day 1&2: Upon arrival into Tortola, we stayed 2 nights at the Beef Island Guest House. Very laid back and relaxing. Only negative was the bugs, but we expected that.
Took the Marina Cay boat over for beach snoozing and lunch.
Day 3: Arrived at Sunsail Base around Noon. To our surprise, our boat was ready for our 1st night sleepaboard.
We used Bobby's for provisioning,and everythng was fine and delivered ontime.
Day 4: Sailed to Gorda Sound. Had dinner at the Fat Virgins, and drinks to follow over at Saba Rock
Day 5: Motorsailed to Anegada. Just relaxed for the day and had Lobster at Anegada Reeef Hotel
Day 6: Stayed in Anegada, rented a car for the day, then had dinner at Neptunes Treasure.Very nice 2 days!!
Day 7: Sailed on to JVD,where we grabbed a mooring in Little Harbor. Walked over the hill(mountain) to Great Harbor and had Happy hour at Foxy's.He played for happy hour.
Took a cab back to Little Harbor, and had all you can eat Lobster at Harris's. Once again, a great dinner.
Day 8: Short sail over to Cane Garden Bay. There were on and off agian showers that day, and NO cruise people showed up to use the several million beach chairs that were on the beach!!! Listened to Quito sing that night.
Day 9: Another short sail to Sopers Hole and then that evening, took a cab over to the Bomba shack to hear a band that was playing there.
Day 10: Sailed to the Bight, and had drinks at Pirates, followed by a real nice dinner on the Willy T.
Day 11: Great sail back to the base,and then the flight back to Philly.
Day 12: Woke up and wish I wasn't here..lol
Sorry for the brief report, but not much time for anything else.
We sailed a Sun Odyssey 40' with 3 people aboard. We also had 4 other boats in our group.
