"FROM THE HEART
There are so many uncertainties since COVID lockdown for St Maarten and across the world.
So I am posting as this pandemic relates to us at Aqua Mania and Dive Adventures, Simpson Bay , St Maarten.
It's been a long uphill climb since Irma, as a business and for our staff... but we know how to stick together. The past 3 years have been about rebuilding and opening up, and welcoming our new and long time guests back to St Maarten and back on board our boats. Our staff have not missed a beat. They were there when we cleaned yards, and houses and businesses and boats, and they were there as we threw open the doors for better or
worse. March 17th, 2020 swung around and out of nowhere, everything went dead quiet. We watched guests leave, we cancelled thousands of reservations and we waited.
Expectantly we wait everyday now for news of when airlift will return, and field calls and emails from Guests desperate to come on vacation and see their island again.
It is July 7th, 2020 and we are still waiting. Patiently and hopefully. Maybe a little less optimistically, but we wait. And we will still be there to throw open the doors and the welcome mat, and hand you that first "Best Friend Rum Punch!" So for now, while airlift is absent , there is no hustle on the docks and no boats being brought, but we are answering phones and taking bookings, we are diving and heading out on a sunset sail this Thursday (wish you were here).... and we are waiting, patiently for your return. Anguilla should open up next week, Saba maybe a little longer and St Barts by the end of the month. For now borders remain closed for boats to the French side, so more patient waiting required.
We hope you are booked to come back. I'm posting some "golden oldie" pics and sending warm greetings to all our loyal customers and hoping you are safe and ready to return. Send us a message and let us know when next you are booked to visit.
As we know more about "Reopening Paradise" we will post here, so stay in touch."
