“Be The Change St. Maarten” has commissioned 12 local artists to paint murals in Philipsburg. Here’s a few examples of some submissions, actual paintings that have been completed, and some murals in progress.

There were some really great murals on the walls by Nettle Bay as well. Lots of talent! Very colorful.

So on the third mural going across, do yo think that it is an actual person stooping in front of the swing on the mural or is she a part of the mural?Nice work.

Yes, that is someone on the swing. This, and some of the others, are not finished yet. Passed the swing one this morning on Front St. Beautiful!

I just watched the Bar Crawl that the group did to see the murals. Looks like fun!

I especially love the one done by the young girl which depicted the 26 Dutch slaves who ran for freedom to the French side. There was a 15 year disparity between the sides of when slavery was abolished.
