Since we can't go to SXM, we have been enjoying our clothing free pool here in Kansas City. When its gets cold we may go crazy though!! What are others doing as an alternative to enjoying SXM beaches?

Visiting the beaches of Cape Cod Massachusetts. No comparison but it’s a beach.

It's been a sad summer...put up a kiddie pool and spent two weeks of vacation time cooling off in our pretend "Divi pool"! Definitely not the same......

We have a pool at home, so that's OK, but afraid to go to the beach around here. We have reservations for a beach vacation here in October, but no idea whether we will be able to go or not.

We have an in ground pool we heat to 82 with landscape of palm trees, banana trees and other tropical foliage for our substitute St Maarten stay-cation. Not the same but fills the bill up here where everything else is North West pine green.

Had to cancel our May trip to SXM, so went to USVI a couple weeks ago. It’s not SXM, but has nice beaches and snorkeling is very good. Islanders were super nice everywhere we went. Hope to get back to SXM soon.

No pool here, but less than 2 miles to the beach.

The next town has continued outdoor entertainment, so we have been enjoying that.
Love watching my grandson, who is 9, play baseball.

I wouldn't feel comfortable flying anywhere right now.

We have a place near the beach, so we can get the sand fix. What we can't get is a cabana boy bring us a cold cocktail, and a wonderful gourmet meal with French Sancerre for lunch.

We missed three weeks in May and looks like we will miss three weeks at the end of October. I hate to have to call Leslie all the time telling him we won't be there! We have been taking longer showers and reading every post on TTOL! And, it sucks! (not TTOL)

I'll serve you drinks and cook the recipes I've gotten from some chefs in SXM

We have just been enjoying our afternoons around our pool - Club O style. We've replicated signs from our favorite resort, and have them all around.

That's a beautiful set-up you have there, for sure.

I love the signs, PnP. Even the speed limit!

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

That's awesome PnPinNC! Do those numbers represent all the rooms you have stayed in?

Thanks Carol - we had a lot of fun building it - my boys and I.

Biturbo the signs were a lot of fun. I recreated the graphics from pictures and then made them by sandblasting sign foam - same as the ones that were down there. ..and absolutely had to have the speed limit sign :-). ..and boy does it get comments/looks from out non-nudist friends.

SXMBeacher - Yes - they do.. .many of those multiple times. There is one more that is in a special place #18 - loved that unit, and I think we stayed there at least 10 times.

Sandblasting sign foam... Very interesting, at first I thought you stole them. Haha!

Trip to Nantucket very nice and much more expensive than sxm. Just about every weekend we go at least one day to Island Beach State park where we can drive on the sand and tailgate on the beach.
