We have the cookbook from the pre Irma Temptation and made their sliders tonight. They make a shallot marmalade with sugar and vinegar that you cook down to what looks like a marmalade. Then you combine it with Dijon mustard and homemade mayonnaise. That’s the sauce. The burgers are lamb cumin coriander parsley celantro ( I spelled that wrong) and grated onions. With brioche buns from our local bakery and some arugula. Amazing.

Temptation was the best restaurant on SXM, with the exception of Dreams. Both are gone, thanks to that b*tch Irma. cry

Bruno has recreated some of the Dreams menu at La Playa. It's not the same as Dreams, but still good!!

Next year when I get back to SXM, will check out LaPlaya again, but it had a ways to go to get to Dreams, as of when we were there.

I always remember that picture you posted of the “Steak Lunch” you had at Dreams. Amazing

Yum! Thanks for the recipe! I might put it in a gyro bread with a yogurt dressing but spin off the original recipe.

I completely agree. They may have their permanent kitchen by now; I'm not sure.

Georgia--hopefully they do by now, although I assume they have virtually no business at the moment.

They may have some from hotel guests and people who live on the French side; for Bruno's sake, I hope so. I'm guessing there are some people flying into l'Esperance.

August on the island would be a very very slow period for them anyway, under normal circumstances.

Lots of French landing at PJIA and they can cross the border.

Good news for French side businesses.
