We're trying to help our son & fiancé choose a Caribbean island for their destination wedding. It will be very small. The wedding party
& probably 6 or less guest. I was hoping for some feedback from this forum, as they had been looking at Cancun as their destination. Thanks for any help you can give us!

Perhaps a cruise would work. St Martin, St. John or riviera maya

None of us are into cruising.

You might want to look at renting a private villa that would be large enough to house everyone. We did this 2 years ago on Virgin Gorda in the BVI's. We rented Adagio Villa, it has 5 BR and 5 1/2 BA, a private pool and great views. We got married on the beach at sundown on Savannah Bay which is a 5 minute drive from the villa, you could also get married on the beach in front of the villa on Mahoe Bay or right at the villa.

Where to next?

You and your group will love Secrets Silver Sands. It's easy to get to from the airport and beautiful!
Maybe you will get a chance to visit Playa del Carmen for some shopping and food.
Congratulations!!!

Silky...

As this was posted in Mexico, and you mentioned Cancun...

Suggest some of the all inclusives in the Mexican Riviera south of the CUN airport. Many have wedding programs. Favorite is el Dorado resort. Cute chapel right on the beach.

I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

My friend had hers at Le Blanc in Cancun, she said it was perfect in every way - they get very good reviews.

If they started by looking at Cancun, they might be interested in getting one (or more) of the houses at Playa del Secreto located a little ways south of Cancun airport and just north of Playa del Carmen. It is a secluded and tranquil spot with on site services provided. Been there twice - we first did a house share with our kids and another family of 4 -- and we didn't use (rent) the entire villa. The second time we did rent the entire place including the 3rd floor and we had 3 families of 4. Stayed in Villa Sarita both times (it faces the beach, has its own pool, outdoor bar area and is just steps to the sea) I will say it's been some time since we've been there but it was pretty cool. http://www.playasecreto.com/
