Looking at chartering in Tahiti. Does anyone have any experience in that cursing area?

Haven't chartered there but have sailed my own boat in the region. Only time I was in a 'cursing area' was at the supermarket checkout looking at the size of the bill eek

But seriously, a great cruising area. I don't know what experience you have but it is definitely more challenging than the BVI so be prepared for that. Less reliable winds and longer distances between harbours. Potential for real ocean conditions if the charter company allow you to head to Taha'a and Bora Bora.

Hopefully someone who has chartered there will come along and give you more information about the actual charter experience.
