Vaccine #2 (Moderna) for my wife today. So far, she has experienced chills and said it definitely hurt much more than the first dose.

Our cousin who is a respiratory therapist says that the side effects are evidence that your body is building the antibodies needed to fight the virus. It's a good thing.

Very sore arm today, largely due to the placement as the persona administering the shot was more concerned about talking than watching what they were doing. Much higher on her arm than the previous shot. So far, just the chills last night and soreness.

Glad it seems like minimal side effects so far. My shot was very far up my arm, as was Eric's.

Both our shots were higher on arm too. In talking with people that had second shot the Moderna vaccine gave more side effects than the Pfizer vaccine. I'll see how ours goes Monday.

Thank you Carol. I'll post how it goes and how I feel next day. So far it's still on schedual as I was sent an email for pre registration. Been lots of cancellations this last week but mostly for the Moderna and not Pfizer. We won't rest till it's in our arms.

Cathy--that's weird. Are you both the same age? We were on about 6 different lists, but our number did come up.

Fortunately, we have both gotten our first shot, but the roll out all over the country seems uneven, to say the least. Many people around here have reported just dumb luck in being able to get the shot, being in the right place at the right time. One of Eric's clients, who happened to be visiting a nursing home on the same date they were giving out shots to their residents, was able to get a shot, just because she happened to be visiting that day. She qualified, as far as age, but just got lucky. ...and then of course there are the numerous reports of whole GOLFING communities of 3K residents being able to get the shots at the same time, while those around them stay on waiting lists for months on end..

We got our second Pfizer shot today. So far so good for both of us. he nurse that gave us our shots said when she got her second Moderna shot she was laid up for 2 days, She told us the Pfizer second shot produced much milder effects on majority of people. Guess I'll no more tomorrow. Just glad it's done with.

Carol...Steve is 3 years older than me but I am 65 and i am considered a front line worker.

Steve had no reaction to the first shot...the second shot he was very lethargic and slept a lot but woke up just fine the next day. He got the Pfizer shots.

Missouri rates LAST in vaccines...I am so proud...NOT

Yes. So far so good. Little stiffness in arm but expected that. Just feels good to have it behind me. Nurse that gave shots advised us to travel with vaccine card. We plan on storing it with our passports.

I certainly would keep my shot record with my passport...and also take a picture of it with your phone just incase it gets lost or stolen.

We have pictures of our important documents on our phone and stored on our computer. You never know when you might need them. This was recommended to us by passport health when we got our yellow fever shots to go to Africa. People like to steal these documents to gain access into countries that require the vaccinations.

Thanks for that. We do have color copies of passports and always travel with certified copies medical POA and directives. Never know when needed.

Scubaman--so, maybe you're not up yet, since you're on the left coast, but how are you feeling this morning?

Pretty good. Just a little rummy but that could be because I took 2 Tylenol PM's last night and slept hard till 7:00 PST. No fever or aches and pain outside the normal old man stiffness in mornng. My wife is pretty much the same with a few stiff muscles. Other than a little soreness in arm we wouldn't know we had the shot. Hope that's the way rest of day goes. Thanks for checking in.

Wife and I got our first shot (Pfizer) January 28th. We were scheduled for our second dose February 18th, but due to the cold weather that hit the U.S. the week before, our 2nd shot was postponed. We just got a call that we are now scheduled for Friday the 26th for our second dose. Hopefully all will go well and they will receive them to shoot us up with.

Final update. Pretty much no reaction. Little funky this morning but nothing now. Important to keep well hydrated to get it out of system. Same with my wife too.

I was quite surprised today to get an email from another waiting list I had signed up for, offering me a shot tomorrow morning. I was very happy to reply that I had already received my first shot. I had looked before and couldn't figure out any way to get myself OFF that waiting list, unless I called, and it is impossible to get through on the phone. I have some friends and clients who have not been able to get theirs yet. Wish I could have offered them my spot, but of course it doesn't work like that.

I got the moderna vaccine. It did not burn or sting at all. My arm is a little sore but I have had much worse. I am so relieved to be on the way to some normalcy again.

David and I got our second Pfizer dose on Tuesday. I had a brief sinking spell yesterday (chills, headache, body aches, but no fever), It lasted about two hours, and then I was fine. Arm is a little sore, but no big deal.
