We moved to all carry on years back for ease of travel, etc. We've always been able to find sunscreen on St John. Fully aware of the Reef Safe Changes. With the explosive growth of visitors is sunscreen available readily around the island? It may seem like a dumb question but based on dinner reservations, jeeps not available etc - would be helpful to know - going in two weeks.
Cheers

Yes it is. But you will pay! Also, my observation after using the reef safe stuff for a week now is that it washes off more quickly than other sunblock. Re-apply often!

They sell reef safe sunscreen at Chelsea Drug Store in the Marketplace and at Jolly Dog's store in Coral Bay. Reef Safe sunscreen is expensive to start with.

For my Irish skin I use Nutrogena Mineral SPF55. It comes in a 3oz tube and is carryon friendly.

Cheers, RickG

Plenty of zinc based stuff at home, but it isn’t cheap. Look at content labels to make sure it doesn’t contain any of the three Os.
We just packed in checked luggage in zip lock bags to be safe, and you can always reuse the bags.
