We will be at Divi Dutch Village in Aruba next month. We couldn't make our exchange at Divi Village Golf this year, which is OK. Has anyone stayed there? It is on the beach. I think we will like it.

It's across the road from the beach, easy walk.

Hi Kid - we were there in December. There are three sections (phases) each with it's own pool. Phase three seems to be best for accommodations - we found the a/c to be better directed away from us as we slept. Also these units are nearest to the large food markets for those without a rental vehicle.

The beach is just steps away. There is one restaurant the Tiki Cafe available to non- AI guests, other restaurants require a voucher or a trip across the street to Mulligans, Seabreeze or Windows. DeliFrance is nearby -

The pool is fine, also phase 2 has a nice pool as well. More shaded area in phase 2 & 3 Vs. 1.

I recommend unit 111 (1BR) in phase 3, right on the pool deck but with privacy.

Enjoy

Hi Bobcat! Thanks for the response. I think we will like it. We always get a rental car. We always make a point of going to Charlie's Bar with friends each trip. I like exploring the island, with trips to Boca Grandi, Baby Beach, Dos Playa, passing the wind turbines on the way back, all of Eagle Beach and Palm Beach and Oranjestad. Also the beach adjacent to the California Lighthouse. I don't play golf, so we may like Dutch Village better, being on the beach. Our timeshare is at Divi Village, but we have never had the opportunity to stay in it as we are never available for week 13. The Vegas trip was great, as we saw Seinfeld's show at Caesar's Palace.

Have a great vacation Kid - visit the new Tiki Cafe located at the far end of Dutch Village phase three, open for breakfast & light lunch.

Bobcat: Yes, we enjoyed eating and drinking at the Tiki Tiki several times. The gals that worked there were friendly, which makes for a positive experience.
