Thinking about August trip and never been that month. Are the restaurants etc open to enjoy? Also, what about the weather? I’m from the south so I am use to the humidity. Thanks

We are scheduled to be there in August as well. Most restaurants should be open as closings tend to start in September. Highs in August should be in the 88 to 90 range with typical summertime humidity. It's warmer than during high season but really not that bad....especially if you are from the south and acclimated to warmer temps. You do have to worry about hurricanes but history says September is the peak time for those. We have been many times in July and have always enjoyed the island during the summer.
