Starting late and the only boat left in Exumas for early May is a beautiful monohull, but she has a 6 foot draft and no air conditioning. Was really hoping for a cat, but to no avail. What are your thoughts on sailing a mono in Exumas and on the lack of air conditioning in May?

6 ft will restrict you a lot in the Exumas. There is a 3 ft tide so you will have to plan carefully.

6'draft and probably a spade rudder can be touchy through all the shallow banks in the Exumas.
