Wednesday 4/28.
Pretty decent travel day AA from DFW-MIA-SXM. Didn't have to wear a face diaper in business class which was nice. And was served booze which was also nice. Loaded up on a bus for the 100' drive to the terminal. Sunsail Base is out of Marina Ft Louis these days. Got my boat assignment and my crew and I got settled in. Jeannie with Shop n Drop arrived with our provisions promptly at 5 and on time. She's great. Can't say enough good things about her. What she couldn't round up she either swapped or refunded. She asked how I found out about her and told her TTOL. Walked to dinner at O'Plongeoir which was very good.
We were dog tired and full of food so we all racked out by 9:30 or 10pm.

Thursday 4/29. Sometime between 12-2am some bold [censored] boarded/robbed the boat directly next to us. And attempted the same to us. I'll get back to that. So we get up about 0630 when the sun came up. About 0800 the Sunsail dockmaster asks me if I saw/heard anything last night. No, why? Well, seems someone boarded/entered/robbed the Cat directly next to us. While the couple on board was asleep. The [censored] made away with about 10K worth of items. The poor French couple thought they were safe and secure and moored to the dock. She broke down and was sobbing in her husband's arms. 3 French cops showed up all decked out in tactical plates and H&K bullpups. I don't speak French so I had to get a translator. They asked me if I knew anything. I ask my crew and one couple says they heard somebody on our deck around 1-2am but they just figured it was me the Captain checking the boat. I usually get up x2-3 times per night to check anchor but I don't do this when I snugged up all fat and happy to the dock. I told the cops this and they said it fitted the timeline. They reason we didn't get robbed is I locked down the doors before going to bed. Which turned out to be a good thing as we had lots of valuables in the saloon/galley.

Fast forward to boat return. I was swapping sea stories with a fellow Texican on the dock and he said he caught a small woman on his boat. She dove into the water and got away. Apparently the thieves come into the marina by dingy. The female is the sneaking rat that boards and does the actual stealing. She's small and quiet. She gathers up the booty and passes it to other members of the outfit.

Kinda ballsy of them to try that same tactic twice at the same marina over a short amount of time but crooks are not all that bright. Subjects are still at large as far as I know.

More report to follow when I get some free time.

I actually think that CDC requirements apply in first class, but whatever..

Glad to hear that at least you didn't suffer any losses from the crumbumbs. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of the trip.

yes. Masks required in FC. My mask slipped down while napping and was woken up to pull it up. Flight from sea to CLT.
