Daily Herald story

Very concerning rise in cases on both sides of the island, PLUS a low rate of vaccinations. Trouble ahead, I fear..

That should make a huge difference!
Why not 10:30, wouldn't that be even safer?

Both the French and Dutch side governments on the island might want to consider an incentive program for the residents for COVID vaccinations. Given the percentage of residents on the island that live below the poverty level if some kind of modest monetary incentive program could be offered it could quickly boost up vaccination rates. Although an incentive for a potentially life-saving vaccine shouldn't be needed, the economy of St. Martin has taken some substantial hits from Irma back in 2017 and COVID strangling tourism in 2020. Such incentive programs have helped vaccination rates in some U.S. states, so there's no reason to think it wouldn't work on SXM.

Not a good sign for the future.

Sammy--agreed, that seems a good idea, but as far as I know, the Dutch side government is due to run OUT of money at the end of this month?
