Good morning,

2 months away from St John, only one detail remains, the Travel Screening Portal. Went to CVS today and paid $38 for an antibody test....we are IgG Positive!!

We have traveled the US a little during the pandammit, but finally this type of travel is making us feel a little more normal and a lot more happy!

Time to start a rough itinerary, especially a couple restaurant reservations (thanks RickG)

Pic of us during last visit 2017, I proposed to my wife on that hammock at Gallows Point 30 years ago!!

Did you wow your future bride by flying on one of Maureen O’Hara's Antilles Airboats?
So looking to your trip report!

Have fun!

Update... oops... that pic was 42 years ago - sorry
Your bride is not that old smile

Like the pic Tom! No airboat, but she was wow'd the minute she stepped off the ferry! Do you recognize the tree in this photo? I think I'll take her pic again on it, if it's still there.

edit to say just noticed it's blurry...I took a picture of the picture that isn't blurry ;-)

Hey Beerman,

Also started a little romance 30 years ago on my first trip to the BVI.
Met my future wife on a group sailing trip in 1990. Got invited to join a group sailing three 50' Moorings monos with 28 crew.
Took her another six years to marry me!

Been trying to get down to celebrate the 30th since last spring.
Hopefully will happen in January.

btw... I scanned the photo.

I should know that tree, but for the life of me I cannot remember.

I did not propose to my sweetie in the islands.
However we were married in 1978, and 30 days after our wedding the USCG decided we needed a 2 year honeymoon in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
Great place to start a lifetime of happiness.

Beerman, what are your dates. We're arriving St. Thomas on June 17 and picking up our charter out of Red Hook on the 21st for 12 days of sailing, probably mostly around St John. This will be the retirement (today is actually my last day) and 35th anniversary trip.

Allen

Allen we arrive first week of August, wish it was sooner! Congrats on retirement and anniversary! Have a great trip!!

Tom, great pic....Don't Blink! The Kapok tree is near the tent section of Cinnamon Bay.

Unfortunately Christ of the Caribbean on Peace Hill was destroyed many years ago by hurricane Marylyn I believe.

With St John on the brain I've been going through some old pics. I wasn't into photography back in the day, lucky some pics actually exist. This pic is at the Back Yard bar in Cruz Bay with bartender Doug Sica...he eventually opened Skinny Legs on the quiet side with Moe. I still have my 80's mustache!!! If you have any pics old or new please post! Cheers!

Congrats!!!!

26 years ago today I was on day two of a Caneel honeymoon that started a love of the VIs for my husband and I.

In February, we enjoyed the Lime Out far more than I expected. The tacos and drinks were excellent!

Happy Anniversary Cleobeach! I believe Caneel is still not open? we used to like a daiquiri on their patio. Lime Out seems like a cool idea!
