Hello TTOL friends. Just to note, "Long John" Julian's announcement just above had an incorrect contact for me. The sales page for this is here , a place many of you know well. Julian, the author of this series, has made me a primary reseller, which I am proud to be.

Note that the 4th edition does not nullify the 3rd edition. The content is all new, and some coupons overlap, and some are exclusive (which is a good thing).

Congrats & best of luck with this Julian Putley !

Julian Putley here. Just a note to say one of my 'nom de plumes is Long John's Son and to correct frank's info. If you wish to order a copy go to www.angelinacat.com/SALES. Frank has been servicing the needs of TTOLers for years. He is prompt and usually offers a price somewhat less that Suggested Retail!

Frank, if I order them today, will I have before we leave on April 3rd? The more I think about it I think I will order one for each couple, so I will need 4.

Hey folks...

Thanks for the kind words. Yep, the DMG4 is in stock and can mail out immediately. As you all know, I don't have to have the money first... I'll mail as soon as you confirm.

I don't want the TTOL moderators to think I am trying to do business through this post. You can connect with me at the Sales link in the above messages, or email me at monk@madriver.com. I also have a TTOL classified.

So... I am sure the Mods won't mind people continuing to discuss the book, as it is a monster seller amongst BVI sailors and land-based folks on this forum.

I am sure it's also OK to keep saying nice things about me, too.

I was at the Soggy Dollar a month ago with my 3rd edition Drinking Mans Guide cashing in on my free pain killer and was quite amazed that I was the only one there with the book. The bay was packed (fiberglass hell) with bare boat charters and I had several people ask me about the book and was surprised NO ONE EVEN HEARD OF IT!? I am starting to wonder if the Drinking Mans Guide is more of a TTOL thing?

Frank-

I just wanted to say thanks for the fast, great service in getting me my 4th and 3rd Drinking Guides Editions. Also, you were a 100% correct that I would like the "Franko's Map".It will be with us on all our trips from here on.

Thank You,

Bill

Sorry about being unregistered. I keep trying, but the system always says "Not allowed with this address". Don't know why, I was a member on an old email address and my wife had no trouble signing up with a new address. I'll keep trying.

We have 4 copies of the 3rd book with a lot of the good stuff used (Leveric's, Soggy Dollar, etc). How does the new book compare with the old for deals?

So how many copies do we need to buy?
One per boat? Or one per adult?

I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

Yeah, thanks for the orders, Bill, Perry, etc. To answer the question - the coupons are usable on all the BVI, so they pay off very easily. Folks often get one per crew (per couple) because of that.

Any other questions, contact be - see my message above (2nd from top), or my TTOL classified.

Wanted also to give my thanks to Frank for his great and quick response. The latest addition is a little different from the third edition, some of the drink and food offers are different, some are the same. Glad we got a copy of each and I am sure we will more than get back the $32 in the North Sound freebies alone. No brainer for the coupons. Also, the little stories about each place are very amusing. Thanks again, Frank!

I've bought them for my crew in the past - makes a great gift for newbies! And I always get myself another anytime I buy them as well - I think I have 2 or 3 now! None fully redeemed.. yet!

Just to update everyone. There are now five establishments that are offering FREE bottles of wine with dinner. The enchanting Sailor's Rest in CGB; Myetts, Peg Legs, Neptunes and Bananakeet. Many other freebies too. But of course most people buy the book for the short stories, humour and literary brilliance.

I counted 15 places on our itinerary that are giving free or 2 for 1 drinks. Well worth the money.

How about a FREE Bushwacker or Painkiller at Jumbies on Leverick? FREE Bushwacker at One Love, FREE Rum Punch at Ivans. There, you've saved the cost of the book and there's another 30 or so deals remaining... Now, go buy a few copies!

Just received my copy in 2 days, thanks Frank! Reading this has brought back many memories! Add the coupons and you have a no lose situation. The guide will be a valuable resource for my "2015 Virgin Islands Backpack Tour."
take care,
Mike
