mike_arruba, we did a backpack tour in 2004. It's what got us hooked on sailing. If someone offers to give you a ride to your next island on their sailboat do it!

Cheers, RickG

<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />Over Twenty locations with coupons on Tortola by my count. I'd say the book has Tortola covered pretty well!

Want to give Frank a big Thank You <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

I emailed a request on a Sunday morning and Frank responded within the hour, we had everything set a hour later and my 4 copies arrived on Wednesday. That's service! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

Only problem is I can't start using them for another month <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Wow... many thanks for the kind words. I do try to get things out fast. Folks have commented on the fact that I mail orders out BEFORE I get the money. Just so ya know how cool BVI travelers are - I have never been stiffed for any of the hundreds of orders over the years !

Let's toast to Julian Putley for another cool edition of his book. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Just a quick not to say that the new Scaramouche is offering a free Orange Passion with the book. ITs grand opening for dinner appears to be Wednesday 16th April. Orange Passion... Mashed orange, cane sugar, bitter Campari, orange juice (Floater of dark rum on request)... Now that sounds sublime.

If you have none of the DMG it says to get the 3rd one instead of the 4th? Is that everyone's opinion??

Where does it say 'to get edition 3'
This must be a mistake... although most bars will still provide the free drink some may not. So don't be disappointed.

Note to self: don't forget to use this awesome book once you're down there! I forgot at the first three restaurants we visited. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" /> But then used it with success at Anegada Reef Hotel and Foxy's. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Resurrecting an old thread I know... but I have a couple of questions -

How long are the 3rd edition coupons good for?
Does either edition have any food deals or are they all drinks?

Thanks!

The 3rd edition coupons are still honored, as they are not dated in any way. There are some that are for establishments that no longer exist, but just a couple places.
