We have visited at 6, 12, 18 month intervals. The 18s driven by hurricanes, pandemics.

I know there are folks who go every couple months.

We appreciated being there most on the two 18 month visits.

We have looked into staying longer up to 4 months in the winter.

I would have thought the vaccinated would be freed of the in/out testing by now after such a proclamation was made in May/june I think.

So, just over two months since last trip, we are thinking no earlier than dec 2022/jan 2023 and that will be predicated on no testing/insurance.

We will add variety/spice and do something different in between knowing we will appreciate all out favorite things on SXM when we return.

We go for the month of February. I would love to go every six months or so but can’t afford it. One year we did February & November it was heaven.

We go every May except one year because of travel to SXM restrictions. Already booked for next May.

Now that I am retired, I have been going twice per year unless prevented by hurricanes or pandemics. June and November.

Twice a year works perfectly for us. Late June and early July and also for a couple of weeks the later part of November. We try to do between 3 and 4 weeks each year.

Be Happy! Simply because you deserve to be. 😁

We go twice a year but only for 7-8 days at a time. My wife still works. But, I have to admit that I am tiring of all the hoops you have to go through to travel internationally. We are leaving Friday for SXM. We were there in July and Cancun in August. We are scheduled to be back in SXM in April. Maybe that 6 month lull will change my feelings.

Ours is usually a 4 week stay but this year we are doing 3 1/2 weeks which i might extend to 4 since we have our timeshare for 4 weeks anyway.

For me, it would be about six months. For my husband, it's a year; so we compromised and we extend our stay to three weeks annually. We did go twice in the year after Irma, mostly to do our part to help the island's recovery.

We go twice a year for 2 weeks each time.
This November, it will be a few days longer--whatever works.
(April & November)

When we go to Italy, we skip November---but we are getting too old to
drive while there. Parking and cities can be difficult.

Since we retired, we try to go 2 months of the year. Because of family obligations, we were not able to do our usual May trip, so we moved it to July. Leave Friday for another month! I can’t imagine going for one week & having to jump through so many hoops!

We always need island time!

Because air travel takes a lot out of us as we get older, we try to go a minimum of two weeks each trip. Was going once a year for a month. But this year and next we will be splitting it into two trips. Two plus weeks in April or May and three weeks in August. Works for us.

I’m trying to play catch up because 2020 was such a bust!!!! But I was fortunate in 2020 to get New Years, non-regatta ;), and New Years again! But I’ll be honest if I didn’t own the place idk if I would jump through these hoops so often!!!

Back in the day, before hubby became ill, we went twice a year for many, many years. Hubby came from the Caribbean and hated the Canadian winters. So we went usually around November, just as it started to get cold here, and then again in February/March when the cold weather here really got to him. We did occasionally go at other times of the year, if the spirit moved us and only once got caught in a hurricane.

We try to do two trips a year - one in November to commemorate our very first visit in Nov, ‘73, and the other in April to mark the time when we first started bringing our daughters with us. I think we’ve done every month of the year excluding only June, July and August when it’s usually beautiful here at home, and over the years, while some of them were just long 5 or 6 day long weekends, the trips have averaged anywhere from ten days to two weeks with an occasional 16 or 18 day stay. Sadly, DH still thinks ten days is a perfect trip so we do a lot of compromising on that one - him far moreso than me. 😊😊

Respectfully,

pat

Lately we been going twice a year, June-July for about 10 days and November-December for two weeks, but now that I am retired it is 3 weeks. This past June we combined 10 days in Antigua and 10 days in SXM. It was best of both worlds, got pampered at all inclusive in Antigua and then our usual BSV in SXM.

Life is short, travel the World.
