So I woke up for the sunrise and after I saw it, I basically crawled back in the rack and read for a while. As the saying goes, “seen one - seen ‘em all” but the effort is so worth it.
Finally arose and pushed the button on the coffee maker and sat myself down to say good morning everyone, when out of the corner of my eye I saw something dark in color slithering across the white tile floor. Looks like we had an uninvited guest for breakfast. Scared the daylights out of me, and I don’t care how harmless they are, I don’t wish to share my space with creatures. I swear it was a foot long but the other occupant of this suite says six inches at best. DH got up - I guess the crazy lady yelling from the couch woke him - and he was finally able to shepherd the creepy-crawly thing out the front door. Thank God!
The beautiful Onassis yacht, Christina, is still anchored out in the bay here and it’s been joined as a bookend on the other side of the bay by the Jobs yacht, Venus, which looks like it’s awaiting a bridge opening to get back into the lagoon. Saba is far more visible than it was when we were here in April and I think I saw the vaguest outline of Statia, too. And lastly, the wrecked boat is still wedged into the cliff just beyond El Zafiro. More later……
Later……
Had lunch at home and then enjoyed some pool time. Within fifteen minutes of calling it a day, the heavens opened up and the rains came pouring down. This was immediately after I hung the towels and wet swimsuits out on the porch to dry. Guess we won’t be wearing those suits tomorrow…….
We had a lovely home cooked lasagne dinner and an evening with friends. Thank you, Leona and Andre, for including us and so nice to spend time with you and the Bruces as well. The lasagne was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed as well.

At the Carrefour stores and/or the Maho Market. DH loves it and has polished off a full large container since we arrived on Friday.

I bought this container at the Carrefour express in Jordan Village. Guess those kids need the big 1/2 gallon size! lol Study stress. It was my first time having it. Thankfully Pat and John took the remains off of our hands last night. But what to do with these last two pieces of lasagna? lol

So, what was the creepy, crawly thing? We had one of those large red centipedes, about 6" long,. in our room at Mt. Vernon. You don't want to touch one of them.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

This past June when we stayed at BSV we had small lizards coming into our villa from under the front door. Didn’t bother us, they would snoop around and go away.

They were definitely lizards of one variety or another and they were coming in under the front door weather stripping. I just don’t like creepy crawly critters be they two feet or two inches. Yuck!

Etna, Is the best but can't find my favorite flavor count. Will keep looking. Big stores to small one, none in Jordan area, none in Maho or Calfour.
