Usual b'kfst on lanai while watching for ships---NONE. Later in the day one appeared.

Decided to try Orient again. Again windy. I can't stand wind raising the hairs on my arm so we didn't stay long.

Took a drive around island and lunched at a street cafe in Marigot. Can't remember the name but it's on a side street somewhere between waterfront and the main road through town. With the water to your back and the public rest rooms to your left it would be that street. Lunch was light because we had rsvp for Bajasu. This place offered full plates at 13 euro and half portions at 6 euro---someone doesn't know math lol.

Checked bridge openings and decided to go early for our 6pm rsvp with the idea of roaming the area to see what was happening since we hadn't been in Maho area for some time, except to drive thru on way to Porto Cupecoy, Dreams and beyond.

DEAD, that's what the area was: DEAD. Decided to go into Sonesta walk to sea and watch some planes land. Caught the Air France and some little guys. Then to dinner. Thanks all who recommended Bajasu.

We both had the strip steak. Hubby had baked potato and I had garlic mashed. We split a creamed spinach. The meal came with house salad but the spinach was an extra. The meal reminded me of Ruth Chris restaurants at home. We each had a glass of wine.

Steak was excellent! But this meal was the MOST expensive we've had in the time spent on island. That's including Rainbow, La Villa, L'Estimenet, La Belle Epoch, Cafe de Paris, all with wine---sometimes a full bottle. So to those of you that think the restaurants in Grand Case are expensive because of the euro, that's wrong. And in my opinion the atmosphere in GC is superior. I really didn't like the room at Bajasu. Maybe because we were seated near the serving bar where we saw food wait under warming lights.

But the steak was the best!
