Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 8 to 10 feet with occasional seas up to 11 feet. Dominant period 11 seconds. Northwest swell 4 to 7 feet. Numerous showers through the day. Isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Stay clear of exposed anchorages tonight!

Can't speak to the swell here in the bight, but skies are mostly sunny so far today and just a little gusty in the mooring field. Better than we were expecting.

I don't know what kind of bathymetry is at work, but the predicwind wave map shows the swell reaching anegada, st Thomas and Puerto Rico not affecting Tortola, st John or the smaller islands of the BVI. Certainly we have not seen any evidence of it. I wish I could post a screenshot.

The live Cane Garden Bay webcam shows a decent swell and breaking waves at the entrance. The swell is only a issue if you are in a exposed anchorage or trying to dive or snorkle exposed sites like the dogs. The Soggy webcam shows some swell wrapping around and into white bay. About what you would expect for a 4 foot swell. Skies look great, can’t wait to get down there tomorrow!
