We just got home at 2AM this morning. Had a little excitement on our second leg home yesterday. We were on the 9pm AA flight, MIA to DEN. About 25 minutes out one ☝️ of the passengers developed sone medical emergency. Fortunately the crew responded admirably and there were a couple of doctors on the plane that provided assistance. The flight returned to MIA at full speed and medical techs boarded the plane and after a short period of time helped the man walk off the plane followed by his family. Fortunately the man appeared to be in stable condition. The AA flight crew did a great job, as well as the ground crew. The plane had to be inspected and refueled before taking off again. The most important thing is the man appeared to be stable. However I was shocked and amazed it only delayed the final arrival time to DEN by about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I will submit a trip report on 5 or 6 days. First need to unpack and put up the Christmas trees!

Until then, here are a few photos including Sunrise and moon rise at Oyster Bay Beach Resort from 1st week, balcony view of Grand Case from last 5 days and a picture of our favorite dessert from Bistro Caribes.

Happy Holidays to all!

Glad the passenger appeared to be OK. Sounds kind of scary but hopefully a good resolution ultimately.

Nice pictures! Looking forward to hearing more about your trip!

At BSV now, pretty much business as usual. Windy today and hot..big waves here in front of the units. Definitely busier than our visits last December and April. More cruise excursions, crowd at Sunset, etc. Police very visible last night in Simpson Bay and Maho areas, had very good effect on the scooter and motorcycle issues.

Airport was a snap. Went from plane to BSV including rental car pickup in about an hour. Our luggage was waiting on the belt, and the line from the bus all the way through Covid docs and immigration never stopped. What a change from nearly 3 hour wait last year.

Nasty wheel busting pot holes on road just in front of little parking spot for driftwood..very deep and jagged edges just right for ruining a wheel and tire. One car at a time through there.

Let me know if any questions..will answer best I can. Back to the beach.

Cheers!
