Hey folks, haven’t seen any recent updated about BaiRuge beach. Is there anything going on there regarding food, drinks or chairs? We are booked for the end of February after skipping a year… Very exited to go back to the island.

Just enjoyed two lovely weeks in SXM including my favorite beach Baie Rouge….no services any more since they evicted Gus and Raymond. What a loss !….it’s as beautiful as ever with the addition of some nice art work on the steps and wall….wave action was a little rough a couple of days, but still as beautiful and serene as ever….enjoy…Dave

Are the villas to the west all still destroyed or any rebuilt?

We love Baie Rouge Beach. We do miss GUS and not having a food or chair option and the Gov as I understand moved him and they other food place out because they were illegally there, paid no rent ( and likely no taxes) for years, had no permits, health issues etc as they had no power or water for proper cleaning. But honestly its even more of a pristine non commercial beach now than before which we like at times too and we just bring 2 folding chairs pack a lunch and that saves us $20 a day. We love it.

That's what we used to do. Keep two folding chairs in car and bring food and drink. To all the beaches. Including Mullet.
Cheers
