in conjunction with my La Vista Beach question!

We also have a one bedroom at SBR reserved for the same week. Now that we have both units available to us, should we switch over to La Vista Beach and let the SBR one go?

I am familiar with the locations and know that SBR is a giant resort while LaVista is much more intimate. And that we would be guaranteed an ocean view at La Vista Beach and who knows what at SBR.

Other pros and cons to consider? Do either (or both) charge for utilities or a resort fee? (I'm going to try to look that up).

And I'll bet that I can guess Georgia's answer on which place to stay!

I told my hubby that for a $50 t/s tax maybe we should just keep them both and use the facilities at each depending on the day! He thinks I'm nuts.......

thanks much,
LeAnn

SBR has a swim beach with amenities. LaVista not so much. Both are nice places but SBR is a little closer to other restaurants.

To me, I would do the two bedroom at LVB, knowing that you are guaranteed an ocean view. Plus it gives you a new experience. I personally am VERY fixed on an ocean view. And a 2 BR at LVB would give you a lot more room than a one BR at SBR . Plus, I love the intimacy of smaller resorts. Your mileage may vary.

Agreed, no real usable beach at LVB though.

I would also take the LVB option, and while the beach is not a swim beach they often have pools behind the rocks that are nice to relax in. LVB is peaceful. I am not a fan of the beach in front of Flamingo or SBR, and even if you wish to stay there the battle to get chairs with shade is a pain. It is also nice to have two bathrooms and the extra space.

LVB I think is only TS tax, wifi is free and I don't think there are any other charges. Not sure about SBR.

We have actually done the keep two units before, when MJ's parents were coming down and we got a Belair unit besides their Divi unit. With their mobility issues and where they put them at Divi we moved them to Belair and that made life easier for them so it worked well for us.

Enjoy your trip!

I prefer the Isle seat

LaVista used to have a charge for WIFI in addition to the $50.00 TS fee. Not sure if they still do.

LVB no longer charges for wifi and it is significantly improved.
