I know this might seem like a strange question, but is the QR code everybody talks about the one that is on the Visitors Pass? That comes with the $15 Covid Insurance?

Reading between the lines, am I to assume that because we have been issued this "insurance" we have been approved? I recall reading on the EHAS application that your credit card would not be charged if you were denied entry. So if your card IS charged, by default you must be approved?

Leaving in the morning and I think I might be overthinking this, but it would have been nice to see the word "approved for entry" somewhere!

thanks all!

LeAnn

You should have received an email with a document that looks like what I have included below. Check junk mail or spam if it isn't in your inbox. Your reasoning is correct but you need the form below to even fly.

That's a relief, I'm sure!! At least I now know where to look, if we have a similar issue. Have a safe journey and enjoy your stay, LeAnn. We're just over a month away!

Now that I am safely at the airport waiting to board my flight, I wanted to provide an update.

Many emails are received during the EHAS process, and this was the ONLY one that ended up in junk. And I didn’t even see it the first time I looked because it came from a totally different email address. One that starts with “COVID” so it seems reasonable that a spam filter would grab it.

The actual approval came very soon after application. If you have received all of your covid insurance emails and don’t see your approval, quite likely it is in junk.

Many, many thanks to bdeeley for the prompt response so that I took a second look. Near disaster averted! Love TTOL

So off we jet into paradise, will report back later.

Thanks for that updated info on the approval emails. For those of us who haven't had to go through it yet, it gives us some calming insight into the process. Have a safe and uneventful flight and may the arrival lines be short!

Such frustration as many here have attested to. One gets approval and one doesn't. And yes we checked the spam folder! What is the best advice. Call them or resubmit???

I have a lingering Ehas question and figure I could piggyback here. I read and haven’t seen an answer to this on the ehas site and have emailed them. But in the meantime, here’s my question…

We are vaccinated but… one of us had the 2nd dose in May and I had the Jansen mid-May. But does that count? Or will they demand boosters? I don’t see any references…

It is spelled out exactly in the "Travel Requiements" section of the EHAS website, under section "General Requirements" #'s 5 & 6. I have copied those 2 sections below and pasted a link to the appropriate page. I can't give you a definitive answer to your question without knowing your travel date, but the simple answer is if you two are traveling prior to the anniversary of the "completed" first vaccination than under current regulations you would not need boosters.

5). All fully vaccinated travelers from a high risk country to Sint Maarten are exempted from a COVID-19 test. The completed vaccination date cannot be older than one year, unless a booster shot has been administered before the ending of the one year term. The EHAS application must still be completed. The date of completion of vaccination must be submitted as well as valid proof of vaccination (official country vaccination card or QR code, full name and name, dates administered and batch number(s) of vaccine) from the country where the vaccine was administered. A received booster shot must be indicated in the appropriate field and proof thereof must be uploaded as well.

6). You are considered fully vaccinated with an accepted vaccine :
2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, Sinopharm, Sinovac/Coronavac and Covishield vaccines, or
2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine
, or
2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series combination of a single dose Pfizer or Moderna with a single dose Astra Zeneca, or
2 weeks after a single-dose of vaccine after a confirmed COVID-19 infection within 6 months before the vaccination (to be stated on proof of vaccination in absence of a digital COVID-19 infection certificate).
the accepted Covid-19 vaccines are: Comirnaty (Pfizer), Spikevax (Moderna), Vaxzevria (Astrazeneca), Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Covishield (Astrazeneca), Sinopharm and Sinovac/CoronaVac.

Pay attention to the blue highlighted text and you will have your answer.

Dude you rock. I read it several times and missed the 1 yr! The earliest any of us were jabbed was April 2021 and we travel Feb. 2022. So looks like booster is not paramount …much appreciated.
