RickandJulie--I agree. She is lovely!!! I would love to get onboard, just to see all the pictures and artwork, etc! I guess it will have to wait until I win the lottery...

A lovely old boat. I remember when Onassis purchased her to convert to his yacht. She was originally the Canadian River-class frigate, HMCS Stormont, that served on North Atlantic convoy duty and off the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. I love that she not only found a new and famous purpose in life, but is still going strong almost 80 years after her initial launch!

Her initial launch was 78 1/2 years ago. Yes, you're right! It was a typo on my part. Should have been an "8", instead of a "6". Thanks for catching it! I've corrected my original comment.
