Hi y’all!
Headed to Saba today- wondering if there is ice/provisions/garbage in Saba or BEYC or just Leverick?

Ice at Saba and BEYC. Boat boys collect garbage in BEYC and Saba fields. Provisioning store open at BEYC - not as well stocked as Leverick but nice options.

Hey just curious - party of 6 (3 couples) - was wondering if it is worth staying on a slip at Saba vs on a ball. Couple of advantages - couples can come and go as they please - no need to get in a dingy after a few pain killers. Anybody stayed on a slip vs a ball? thoughts?

- will be at Saba/BEYC Sunday April 24th after embarking from Scrub island Sunday morning.... This will be our first stop and want to pamper the ladies as much as possible... Tentative sail plan has use leaving for Anegada early the next morning....

thanks!

Hmmm..... those slips at Saba didn't really seem big enough for a charter boat. But maybe I wasn't looking at them from the right angle - haha! We used Boaty Ball to get a ball close in. It's a really short dinghy ride in.

Agree on the slip size at Saba. BEYC has wonderful slips.

We've never used a slip at Saba. At BEYC we've stayed both in the marina and on mooring balls, and thoroughly enjoyed them both. The practical advantages of a slip are obvious, as you've outlined them. You also get to plug into shore power, and easily take advantage of showers, etc. on land. On the other hand, relaxing on a ball (or at anchor) while fully surrounded by water is just a wonderful feeling.

By the way, if the east wind is light, Saba is a good spot to catch as much of it as possible and stay cool. If it's howling, going around the corner to the BEYC marina or nearby mooring balls puts you in a much more sheltered spot.

Dan cheers
