Three friends and I are thinking of going to Myrtle Beach for 4 days in September. These are high school friends that I have not seen much of in the last 30 years, so we have a lot of catching up to do. Any suggestions for a place to stay? Would like to be on the water, would like a villa or condo.

It doesn't have to be Myrtle Beach either, anywhere north of there, that would still be warm in September would be fine too.

Ed and Sandra have several reports in the trip report archives from Myrtle Beach. Once you get to that one report, you can just click to read all their posts. They are older reports, though. Not sure if they have been there recently and just not posted them here or not. I think there is an email link for them, so you could also send them an email.

You might try going south of Myrtle Beach to Litchfield or Pawley's Island. There you'll be away from the rat race that plagues MB. Several good restaurant are in the area, Frank's and Bistro 217 in Pawley"s are two of the better ones. If I'm talked into going to MB, that's where we now go. Very pleasant atmosphere. Have fun! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Carol, I will read them this weekend.

Gatorman1 - thanks for the suggestion, looks a lot nicer then Myrtle Beach. I don't like the big crowds!

Good choice. Have a great time. We plan to go to Murrells Inlet in September.

Oh how things do change, we are now looking at staying in Surfside Beach. We changed our mind about driving and now flying to Myrtle Beach. Since we are not all coming in together, thought it would be best to be a little closer to the airport.

We will be there from Sept. 18 to 22nd.
