We chartered the Moorings 514 PC July 12 - 19 and absolutely loved it! We have in the past chartered the 474PC and wanted to see the difference. I was concerned about the fuel cost due to double the horsepower over the 474. The back table area is the same as the 474 and the living quarters are the same also. The galley is reconfigured and tons of storage everywhere. The freezer was big and held 3 large bags of ice and a frozen gallon of water. There was plenty of storage in the refrigerator and both are set up as drawer type. There was a microwave, toaster, coffee machine and blender. We had one problem with the table being too low but provided plenty of seating. There is a nice nav. station with a new stereo that is MP3 ready and a docking station if you have an iPhone. The windows around the galley are large and provide a great view. The forward door leads to a nice seating area in the front patio area. The front deck is nice and big with storage next to the water tanks. There is less water storage than in the 474 however water was not a problem and halfway thru the trip refilled one tank at Saba Rock for free. The flybridge and deck is huge. Great helm complete with color chart plotter, digital engine tachs, auto pilot and digital depth finder. There is a large sitting area with table and large seat at top of stairs. There is a great electric BBQ with refrigerator and sink. Forward of the helm is a sun pad area that is padded and large. All lighting is LED throughout the boat along with red LED lights over helm and accent lighting along the floor in the galley and flybridge. A great feature is the underwater lights on the back. It was great seeing the blue lights off the back and seeing all the fish and large Tarpon that hangout. It was nice to have a power platform to launch the dinghy and not having to hand crank in up like on the 474. The top speed of the 514PC was 18 knots and we cruised around at 10 knots. Our fuel bill in the past was $615 on the 474 and this trip it was $632 wish was great since we had double the power. We can not wait to go again. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/pirate.gif" alt="" />
