I've read the bill that was passed ( https://www.bvibeacon.com/wp-conten...-Gaming-and-Betting-Control-Act-2020.pdf), but still cannot discern many of the specifics, or is that because the industry's presence is still in its gestation phase? For example, how many casinos will be licensed, and where (Tortola only, or VG as well), and what games will be allowed? I realize that I'm inviting "the rumor mill" to weigh in, but has anyone heard any specifics?

Some persons in the BVI were convinced that the whole idea was simply another avenue for money laundering and now that the last Premier (and supporter of the gambling legislation ) is in the US awaiting trial on money laundering charges, the legislation will hopefully be revisited. If I recall, it was centered around video terminals and horse racing and not full service casinos.

Any update on the actual legislation? The former premier's comment from the original article is kind of illuminating, considering subsequent events. Fahie's quote was "putting the regulations in place with how it’s going to operate legally and get what is yours".
