Forgive another one. I am so ready for this kind of stuff to be over.

I did email EHAS a question last week. Have not heard back.

My question is just a 'make me fell better question' please. The only test I can really find within 100 miles of me is the Antigen test that is 24 hours from departure. Makes me nervous doing this the day before I leave.

Just want to ask if others have been easily approved quickly using this test and timeframe? Thank you! I leave a week from today.

Hi. I think it would help if you state what type of test you are referring to (name brand or whatever) and where you are getting it, so that others can help you better. Most of us here who used to have to test were using the RT-PCR tests at Walgreen's or similar, which although it is a PCR test, the results had been coming back in just a couple of hours.

The test in the Antigen test with results in about 15 minutes (required in the 24 hour from departure window). I would have to do it at a local medical clinic.

Our Walgreen's and CVS do not do the antigen test. They do a PCR test (although not listed as the RT one - but may be the same). And they state several times that it has to be sent off and may not return for up to 48 hours. Thus part of my confusion and worry.

If they do the RT and it comes back in few hours, that would be great. I may drvie there and go see. Online scheduling refuses to allow for these two types.

I am grateful for your input. Thank you.

I will try to quit posting on this. But wondering - perhaps you could tell me the Walgreen's name for the PCR test you took that came back quickly and was accepted? Then I could ask my local one here about it.

Thanks again.

It's been a while since I had to get tested but is it the rapid NAAT test that St. Maarten (and most other countries) consider a PCR test for traveling purposes? You get these results quickly and I believe this was the test I got at Walgreens two years ago that St. Maarten accepted as a PCR test. Hopefully someone with more recent experience can confirm.

diver--OK, if they have to send the test off, then it is not the one that comes back in a few hours. I can't remember the name of that test at Walgreens, but it definitely is a PCR test, that comes back within a few hours.

Thanks all. Just drove all over town. I will have to go to a med clinic for antigen test 24 hours before. Hopefully EHAS responds quickly - which was my original question - do they respond quickly to antigen submission? smile

Walgreen's no longer does travel tests - their vouchers ran out and will only test if showing symptoms. CVS / Walmart / Save-on Drug - all do not do travel tests of any kind at this time.

Sorry for all the posts. Just want to feel like my submission Monday morning will come back quickly.

Glad you got a test scheduled but I guess the Walgreen's testing is location specific since there are over 20 locations that do do both the RT-PCR and antigen tests near where I live (MA/RI). Test results in a few hours.

diver--that's interesting. Sorry that Walgreen's isn't doing tests where you are anymore. Best wishes!
