I am curious. I know it is low season right now but I am curious if the island is slower (less busy) than expected. I been 'seeing' less cruise ships and few posts on TTOL (trip reports, etc.) than I would expect when compared to the apparent glut of travel domestically.

Less cruise ships, for sure. My explanation is that the cruise lines have been moving ships to places where there is more per day income, like Alaska, Europe, etc.
As far as the island in general, reports online have been that the island is reporting at least normal, or possibly above normal, numbers of stay-over tourists.

Island businesses are still hurting, for sure, but stay over tourists are really where island businesses make their money.
