Several local farms sell them. Got one at the Farmers Market a couple of weeks ago. Amazing flavour.

In some situations all of the above may chase you, especially when protecting their young.

I recall a Free Range Rooster when I had a place in Orleans many years ago. The rooster and I were on different sleep schedules, and I really wanted him to take a swim in my stew pot. Someone else got to him first. ππthat's when a 12g with a silencer is called for.

I had a quieter plan for the rooster. I was happy that someone else got to him first. I've harvested and plucked chickens before, and didn't really want to have to do it again.

The original question has been answered and it is now drifting way off topic.
