Several local farms sell them. Got one at the Farmers Market a couple of weeks ago. Amazing flavour.

In some situations all of the above may chase you, especially when protecting their young.

I recall a Free Range Rooster when I had a place in Orleans many years ago. The rooster and I were on different sleep schedules, and I really wanted him to take a swim in my stew pot. Someone else got to him first. ππthat's when a 12g with a silencer is called for.

I had a quieter plan for the rooster. I was happy that someone else got to him first. I've harvested and plucked chickens before, and didn't really want to have to do it again.
