Looking for some help guys -- 1 Day - Girl Trip - Beach Day Affair -

Looking for a fairly good accessible beach that has food/beverage close by
possibly chairs to rent
and not to hard for my elderly mom who has a bad foot/ankle to access from car to beach/back

My Thoughts ----
---Prefer NOT to spend the day at CGB
---Thinking Brewers Bay but wasn't sure how much has changed in the past 10 years since we've been there and if Nicole's is around any more.....
---Smugglers Cove is a beauty --- but thinking it might be too difficult for my elderly mom to navigate with a bad ankle/foot and wasn't sure about food/chairs
--- Long Bay comes to mind but never really set up camp there for the day so wasn't too sure on that.......hoping for good recommendations that will make a fabulous lasting impression for my mom, as she may never get back to the islands and would love for her to be able to have a memorable day like no other......thanks in advance for the feedback smile

I think CGB is your best bet..but do this..get dropped off at the west end of the beach and camp at "Indigo House".It wont be very crowded there..great food, drinks and chairs. I love Smuggler's and Patricia has great food , drinks and chairs but, as you said, might be tough on Mum. Unless its changed Nicole is not serving food in Brewers. Long Bay is nice and you can hang at the beach bar if you spend $$ on food and drink.

What island are you staying on? Do you plan to drive to the beach?

I would recommend Smugglers Cove. Access to Smugglers is easier than Cane Garden or Long Bay. At Smugglers, parking is right on the beach. There are food vendors right there where you park. Both vendors have beach chairs for use at no charge.

hate to admit it, but we'll be on a cruise and this is a 1 day stop (unfort. that's the only way I could get my mum to visit the islands)

If you go to Smuggler's I highly recommend Patricia's food and drink just to the left as you walk onto the sand...great attitude, great prices and great food and ice cold drinks.

If you wanted to explore a bit more - you could go to Josiah’s beach - they used to have 2 food places there…it’s a beautiful horseshoe beach and in my experience uncrowded - you’d need a taxi (and an agreement for the taxi to return to pick you up) but would not be a problem.

It’s my favorite beach on Tortola!
