Can we connect to the dive balls with a 45' CAT if we are diving? Just curious if anyone knows the rules?

Thank you!

Yes, you can use National Parks mooring balls for diving. The color code is:
Orange - non-diving use
Yellow - commercial dive boats only
White - non-commercial diving
Blue - dinghies only

The balls at the Rhône change color frequently. Do try and avoid the yellow balls but any of the Orange balls are fine to dive the wreck. Do a current check before putting divers in the water. Usually it’s fine but it can be not suitable for diving at times.

We were there this morning and there were no other boats in sight. Picked up a yellow ball just because it was closer, but they are clearly marked for commercial dive boats.

There are about 8 yellow buoys and a similar number of red park buoys, plus a dinghy line.

The red buoys are a bit farther away, but not that much.

Conditions were spectacular for free diving the wreck and nearby shore.
